Welcome to ROLLR

Welcome to the Repository of Online Language Learning Resources (ROLLR), Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s innovative sharing solution for language instructors teaching newcomers in Ontario. Explore, enjoy and have fun discovering these resources and how YOU can be a part of this vibrant and expanding online community.

ROLLR offers a user-friendly, searchable collection of downloadable and re-usable learning objects that complement the LINC Classroom Activities books published by the Toronto Catholic District School (2010) Board and Algonquin College (2009).

ROLLR is also enabled to host other types of instructional resources for settlement language classes, especially those based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks. You will be able to subscribe to an RSS feed that announces when new items have been added to the collection. You will also find annotated links to online resources aligned to the Canadian Language Benchmarks.

Register for a free ROLLR membership and you can view, rate, download and comment on items in the collection, contribute items from you or your organization, and exchange ideas with fellow professionals in the forums. Tips for language teachers looking to integrate technology into their classroom will also be posted regularly.

We hope you find ROLLR to be an innovative resource for finding resources to help newcomers learn English in the context of Canadian culture.
